1 Mobile device management leader expands customer deployments and global presence, adds key partners to support expanding ecosystem and rapidly growing footprint of mobile devices under management worldwideEDISON, New Jersey, USA – February 5, 2008 - Mformation® Technologies Inc., the mobile device management (MDM) leader, today announced record achievements during 2007 including significant growth in its mobile operator customer base, acceleration in new mobile data services launched by its customers, rapid growth in active subscribers, more device models managed by Mformation’s MDM software and an expanded partner ecosystem. Mformation also expanded its global reach and strengthened its executive leadership team.
In 2007, Mformation grew its customer base to now include 6 of the 10 leading mobile operators worldwide. The largest and most demanding mobile operators around the world are now using Mformation’s MDM solution to manage their more than 700 million subscribers.
Operator Customers Launch Innovative Services
During 2007, more than 20 of Mformation’s mobile operator customers successfully launched device management services based on Mformation’s platform. These customers span North America, Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa, and are deploying across both CDMA and GSM network technologies.
More than 20 customers launched new MDM services in 2007.
Three customers launched business-critical CDMA activation capability in 2007 based on OMA DM.
Over 100 million new devices came under active management by Mformation platforms during 2007.
Quarter-to-quarter transactions on the Mformation platform are increasing, now running into the tens of millions per month.

Mformation Addresses Need for Enterprise MDM
Mformation expanded its MDM offering for the enterprise market in 2007 with the successful launch of enhanced Mformation Enterprise Manager, which gives IT managers direct control over many devices, across any operator network. With Enterprise Manager, IT managers can work in partnership with their mobile operators to manage all phases of the mobile device and application lifecycle and deliver the full benefits of mobile technology to their workforce. The need for an enterprise-based MDM solution is growing rapidly; according to research by Coleman Parkes, 79 percent of CIOs surveyed stated that managing mobile device usage has become increasingly difficult and complex, and 91 percent believe that the mobile operator has a critical role to play in supporting the management of corporate mobile devices.
Partners Join MDM Ecosystem
Mformation expanded its MDM ecosystem of partners in 2007 and now has more than 20 partners, including: prominent system integrators such as HP and Accenture; handset and device OS companies such as HTC, Intel, LG, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia, Palm, RIM, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and Symbian; and providers of hardware and software platforms, including BEA, HP, JBoss, Oracle and Sun Microsystems. Mformation’s MDM solution is critical for managing the rapidly growing number of mobile devices flooding the market and the third-party applications that run on them. Mformation’s partner ecosystem ensures that its mobile operator customers are able to manage the complete subscriber experience including 1,400 unique mobile phone models.
Building Capacity and Leadership
Mformation also added two new senior executives to its leadership team in the past year. John Roberts was named Chief Financial Officer; his financial management expertise and public and private market experience will be an asset to Mformation as it moves to the next phase of its growth. Dr. Robert Fish joined Mformation as Senior Vice President of Operations, leading the company’s Operations organization globally and taking overall responsibility for product development. Throughout 2007, Mformation built out its capacity. There has been ongoing investment into the MDM platform and R&D. In October 2007, Mformation announced significant expansion of its development and support capabilities in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
