Mformation launches Enterprise Manager cloud service
1Mobile device management (MDM) software provider Mformation Technologies has launched Enterprise Manager, a cloud-based service for enterprise. The service has been tailored to fit the IT service management framework of Managed Service Providers (MSPs). Cloud-based services will enable enhance the uptake of MDM in the enterprise. Mformation Enterprise Manager enables enterprises to enhance security by allowing IT to control the deployment and enforce uniform security policies for the mobile devices used within the enterprise, and secure the enterprise data that resides on them. Mformation Enterprise Manager also allows controlling policy-based management that enable IT to define corporate policies and enforce them on all of the different mobile devices used within an enterprise. The Enterprise Manager has the ability to remotely access devices and to automate and batch device management tasks. Mformation Enterprise Manager provides real-time inventory of all the devices deployed which provides IT with a centralised picture of enterprise device status and activity. Both scheduled and custom reports give an enterprise enhanced visibility into their end-user population. The Mformation service has been extended to support implementation via MSPs. The platform has been hardened to support MSP deployments. The core platform has extensive APIs that enable integration of MDM data, logic and functions into third-party services. Specific extensions include APIs to support extended information for CRM services.
