Alaska Communications Picks cVidya for Fraud Management
Alaska Communications has selected cVidya Networks’ FraudView Cloud, one of cVidyaCloud’s on-demand revenue intelligence applications, as its fraud management solution. The announcement was made during the launch of FraudView Cloud at the IIR Conference Telecoms Fraud & Revenue Assurance in London.
Alaska Communications provides broadband and other wireline and wireless solutions to businesses and consumers. FraudView Cloud will monitor the company’s networks and systematically detect and combat the most common fraud types including PBX hacking, toll fraud, data fraud and long-distance fraud, which will reduce fraud losses across its wireless, wireline and data networks and services.
“We were looking for a robust fraud management solution that would allow us to cost effectively combat fraud threats across our services," said Mike Todd, Alaska Communications senior vice president, technology. “We selected cVidya’s FraudView Cloud because it provides us with a powerful, affordable and convenient fraud management solution that did not require direct investment in hardware, software and deployment."
FraudView Cloud will provide Alaska Communications with cVidya’s FraudView standard capabilities including the fraud detection engines, alarm and case management workflow, Web GUI with investigation tools and “on-the-fly" rule configuration, reporting tools with pre-defined operational and managerial reports and support for latest features and best practices. The cloud “pay-as-you-go" pricing model and free updates will enable Alaska Communications to reduce fraud losses and improve margins with lower and more predictable costs, cVidya said. FraudView Cloud is currently available for small and medium sized service providers.
