OpTier(TM), the pioneer of Business Transaction Management(TM) technology for the enterprise, today announced that for the second year in a row, its flagship product, CoreFirst, was selected as a Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE Awards Finalist in the Best Software Testing Solution category.
CoreFirst dynamically links business services to underlying IT infrastructure, assuring service delivery and optimizing IT resources. It delivers end-to-end visibility and control of all business transactions, helping IT assess and improve its business effectiveness as well as optimize its investment in infrastructure and resources. And this is all done on an ongoing basis, without having to correlate events, change application code or use any additional instrumentation.

CoreFirst enables organizations to assure business service delivery by providing cross-tier visibility into the IT infrastructure to improve the performance and control of business transactions. It actively identifies and isolates performance problems as they develop - and before users can be affected - thus minimizing the cost and time to resolve them.
OpTier’s latest version of this award-winning product, CoreFirst 2.0, allows IT staff to generate business service intelligence, for more effective testing, capacity planning, provisioning and decision-making. These enhanced testing and monitoring features significantly drive down costs while improving service quality and mitigating the need for costly system upgrades.
This year’s CODiE Awards finalists were chosen from more than 1,200 nominations submitted by more than 600 companies. Judging was conducted by software experts from the trade press, consultants, educators, IT specialists and other neutral specialists.
"The 2007 CODiE Finalists represent real winners, even at this stage of the contest," said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. "Competition is fiercer than ever and that makes selection as a CODiE Finalist a major achievement. All the companies on this year’s list should feel justifiably proud of their recognition."
"Our customers are experiencing the benefits of CoreFirst in a number of ways - from pre-production testing of the effects of new system components to the real-time monitoring of transactions in production in order to prioritize transaction resource allocation based on real business needs," said Israel Mazin, CEO of OpTier. "Receiving recognition from SIIA again this year is a testament to the dedication of our employees and to the valuable feedback we have gained from working side-by-side with our Fortune 1000 customers to develop and enhance CoreFirst."
