Mohan Gyani Joins Mformation Board of Directors

Mr. Gyani sits on various public and private boards and has held senior positions in the wireless industry, including as president and CEO of AT&T Wireless Mobility Services and as executive vice president and chief financial officer of AirTouch Communications.

Mohan Gyani serves on the boards of Keynote Systems, Safeway, SiRF Technology Holdings, Union Bank of California and a number of private and non-profit organizations. He is the former president and CEO of AT&T Wireless Mobility Services, where he was instrumental in expanding the company across the US and building up their next-generation systems for global mobile communications. He played a strategic role in the merger of AirTouch and Vodafone and its subsequent joint venture with Bell Atlantic that resulted in the creation of Verizon Wireless, and he played a key strategic role in that company’s growth from IPO to a $70 billion enterprise over a five year period. Mr Gyani has served on the boards of the GSM Association and CTIA, as well as on the boards of many public and private companies. He was born in India, and lived in several countries before settling in San Francisco, where he earned his BA in 1972 and his MBA in finance in 1978 from San Francisco State University.
